LLL team gets 'Running Inspo!'
The Lamp Lifeboat running team continues to go from strength to strength! Together, the team of 15 runners has run more than a dozen races across the world this year.
This Saturday 10 December - Human Rights Day - 10 members of the team in Canada ran a 10K race and then on Sunday they ran the Santa Shuffle race in Toronto dressed up in Santa outfits! Even though it was 14 degrees Fahrenheit (brrrrr!) and snowing, they all finished - what a team!
The running team has had a powerful impact on all those involved. One of the survivors in the team, Mariam, said running makes her feel strong and that she can do anything in her life.
Sometimes though, especially when it’s cold and wet outside, finding the motivation to run can be difficult. Our director of survivor engagement and running team member Kolbassia Haoussou shared this message to all the runners in our team to inspire and motivate them when they need it. The content of the message applies to many things beyond running: "Whatever you put your mind to, nothing will stop you. When your mind is aligned with you, there is nothing in this world that can stop you!"

Thank you to our inspirational running team for your energy and spirit!
